Sleeping With The Enemy

Although the cans in my pantry are far from neat , last night I was sleeping with the enemy. And though I don't usually call my family ' the enemy ' ......last night was a nightmare. Picture it : Doug , me , Jordan ,Cane and The Wiener Dog.......all in a bed built for two. Well , you can't really count me , cause I don't think the inch I occupied counts. I'm telling you , it was almost worse than the night The Hermit Crab got in the bed with us. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words , so I'll just show you what we looked like. Notice that even though The Wiener Dog has one , I don't even get a pillow.

Boy can I relate. I have a king size bed and Sadie, my Sharpei, sleeps at my feet even though my husband is gone for two weeks at a time and she could at least sleep on his half...no, at my feet and if I stretch out makes her mad and she stomps off only to return and sleep at my feet again. Been a while since I had kids most recently a couple of grandkids and i share a bed once-in-awhile and they are total bed hogs!

The dog got a pillow but not the Mama? Hon, that is wrong on so many levels I can't even begin, because I simply wouldn't stop. Hope tonight is much, much better for you sleep-wise!

Too funny! Now that our kids are grown the only one sharing our bed is our golden retriever - and only in the AM after getting permission to join me. And sometimes she doesn't want to get up so she sleeps in after we're gone.

I can so relate to this. When my daughters were younger, we seemed to play musical beds. I never knew where I was going to end up by morning. Love the drawing--hilarious.
